The “Hunt” for Food
Posted by Janice ShannonI’m sure the clever Native Americans just went down to the brook and caught their fish by hand. How difficult could that be? Well, we sure had a wet & wild time in our water table trying to catch our own goldfish. They were fast but not too fast for us. Then we went to Sport Hill Farm to snatch a nice egg from the coop of 125 Rhode Island Reds. We made special hats that resembled the hens so they would not notice us as we wondered among them. It worked. We walked right into their coop and took a nice warm egg. What a day!!
