This Was No Three Hour Tour with Gilligan
Posted by Craig KnebelThe 7th grade life science class boarded the RV Oceanic for an exploration of the upper and lower habitat zones of the Long Island Sound. Students dredged up crabs and clams, used seine nets to capture plankton and fishing nets to capture just above the bottom organisms like flounder. The weather was surprisingly hot for October, driving some of the larger fish away from our nets.
