Time for the President’s Fitness Challenge
Posted by Marybeth LaneIt’s time for the President’s Fitness Challenge. Since 1956, the President’s Council on Physical Fitness, Sports & Nutrition has been testing students all across the United States to measure their fitness and health levels.
Students will test in various exercises (including but not limited to) the Shuttle Run, One-Mile Run, Quarter Mile Run (depending upon age), Long Jump, Short Jump, V-Sit Reach and Curl-Ups.
It’s an exciting time as the students cross the finish line and complete difficult tests. We are so proud of the Eighth Grade class as they completed the One Mile event in record time.
They crossed the finish line with flying colors. They started the President’s Fitness Challenge with great energy and enthusiasm. Way to go, Eighth Grade!
