Posted by Carina BlackwellOur Upper School Mandarin students could not wait to celebrate Halloween this year. To match their enthusiasm for the season, they were tasked with labeling their decorations using characters as well as working on pronunciation. They were competing with each other’s drawing to see which one was more spooky. I explained to students that this celebration is not common in China, however, modern Chinese families are starting to explore it with their young children. The classroom looks festive for Halloween! Bù gěi táng jiù dǎodàn – Trick or Treat!
