Watch Out for Lava!
Posted by Stephanie SatonickArmed with just a few household ingredients- baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, and red food coloring- these budding scientists embarked on a thrilling experiment that brought the wonder of geology right into our (outdoor) classroom! Students eagerly mixed their ingredients, creating a bubbling concoction that promised explosive results. As baking soda and vinegar reacted, the addition of dish soap added an extra element of magic, creating a foamy eruption.
With their volcanoes bubbling over, these second-grade scientists proved that you don’t need fancy equipment to explore the wonders of the natural world- all you need is a little curiosity and imagination!
