We’re Going To The Zoo!
Posted by Faith BarbutoWhat better way to spend a beautiful April day than exploring the Beardsley Zoo? Kindergarten took our annual pilgrimage to investigate animal groups. As the culminating activity of our year long study of the characteristics of animal groups, students were asked to find animals from each group and describe how they determined that classification. Armed with clipboards and their bodies of scientific knowledge, students found many examples for each group. Things got even more exciting when we got a behind the scenes look during our Animal Encounter program. Here we got to learn more about and even touch some animals that are not on public display while learning more about their unique adaptations.
