White varsity opened their 2013 home schedule with cross-town rivals, Fairfield Country Day School. Both teams came out strong in the first half and both goalies were challenged with breakaways, long shots and pinpoint crosses. The Unquowa squad struck first with quick goal by 7th grader, Akash who beat the FCDS goalie with a quick shot and we took an early 1-0 lead. We never looked back from there tallying another 3 goals and taking a commanding 4-0 lead through the second half and finishing with a strong victory in front of a capacity crowd at home. We would like to thank the fans for supporting us in our first victory this season and we look forward to our next match this Tuesday at home against NCCS.
