Worm Hotel!
Posted by Ann PalmAs part of the PreK-4 unit on insects and small creatures the children made a worm hotel. First we had fun digging for worms in the garden. Some children were afraid so other friends helped put the worms in the holding container. Once we were back inside, we examined the worms to get a closer look. Many observations were made with our magnifying glasses. After the observation we took a clear cylinder jar and filled it with layers of sand and dirt. Last we placed the worms on top and watched them hurry down into the dirt. What will happen to the layers of dirt and sand? Stay tuned!
