Yo soy Mateo…
Posted by Katie BrennaHave you heard your sixth grader rambling a bunch of Spanish to themselves lately? Chances are, you have! Sixth graders have feverishly prepared for and executed their first “charla” or informal chat to the class. For this task, students had to pretend to be Mateo, a boy that has to complete a list of household chores before leaving the house to be with his friends. Each sixth grader took a turn being Mateo and describing his daily chores in detail. Speaking for one minute with only pictures to prompt you is no small feat! Job well done!
