PreK-4 Plants Chinese Vegetables
Posted by Mary CurranIn conjunction with the celebration of Chinese New Year, PreK-4 students learned about many foods that are common in Chinese cooking. They enjoyed smelling fresh ginger root and sampling Asian Greens and Mandarin oranges. In addition, they planted Asian Greens which they will be taking care of and observing until spring break. In April, PreK-4 students will plant Hakurei Turnips, Mei Qing Choi, and Mizuna Greens. Look for these delicious vegetables in the Unquowa garden in the spring!
