Dancing!
Posted by Alyson CahillDid you know that PreK-4 students LOVE to dance?! For the past few weeks, at the start of each class, we have spent a few minutes “waking up our bodies” by dancing to different types of music. Some of our favorite songs are “Jump In the Line” by Harry Belafonte, “Jump Jive and Wail” by the Brian Setzer Orchestra, and “ABC” by Jackson 5. In this picture, students are clapping along to instrumental Irish music by Gaelic Storm and dancing one at a time in the center of our circle. They are doing a great job taking turns! Dancing helps us to shake out our sillies and get some exercise before we sing, play, and learn more about music.
