Skills for Life, Built on the Field
Our primary goal is to make participation in athletic endeavors enjoyable. We help our students have fun, learn various sports and develop lifelong skills. Competition is a natural part of sport, and through it, we develop qualities like commitment, teamwork, dedication, loyalty, perseverance, goal attainment, and self-discipline. These skills pay off in the classroom and on the field, and stay with Unquowa graduates for life.
As students advance into the Upper School, everyone who tries out is placed on a team. We focus on participation and camaraderie among team members as students learn the fundamentals of sport, the rigors of athletic conditioning, and building resilience through training and competition.
Spring Soccer Fun
Posted by Sarah Pollex
This spring, our Kâ2 Gators in Training had an exciting introduction to soccer filled with learning, teamwork, and fun. Many players joined their very first team and quickly built confidence through drills, games, and scrimmages.
Favorite activities included âSteal the Bacon,â where players jumped into exciting small-sided matchups, and âKick the Coach,â where players tried to tag their coaches with soccer balls while the coaches dodged and ran around the field. The game quickly became a team favorite filled with laughter and energy.
Weâre so proud of our young Gators and canât wait to see them back on the field this fall!

Fun Friday is the BEST part of the week in PE class. Why? Because we get to pick the game by voting. Thatâs rightâwe all have a say!
From freeze tag to sink the ship, pinball to bean bag toe touch, students shared their favorite game and the winning choice took over the gym. Once it started, the energy was off the charts! Laughter, cheering, and teamwork were everywhere as we all jumped in and played our hearts out.
Fun Friday isnât just about gamesâitâs about making choices, working together, and having a blast while being physically active. We canât wait to see what game weâll vote for next week!
