New This Year: One School-Wide Orientation for All Families
Posted by kellysullivanWe can’t wait to welcome you back to campus for our New School Year Orientation on Wednesday, September 2, from 9:30–10:30 a.m.!
Previously held over two afternoons, this year’s orientation will bring our entire school together for one family event. It will be a wonderful opportunity for students and parents to begin the year together as a community.
Arrival begins at 9:20 a.m. Please enter through the gym door, where staff will help students find their way to their classrooms and practice the morning drop-off routine before the first day of school. PreK and Kindergarten families are welcome to walk their children to class, while all other parents can make their way to the Dining Room.
At 9:30 a.m., students will spend time with their teachers, reconnect with classmates and become familiar with their classrooms and school-day routines. At the same time, parents will gather in the Dining Room for a brief welcome program.
Afterward, families are invited to make a craft together in the corral or enjoy some time on the playground! At this time, our faculty will return to preparing for the first day of school on Tuesday, September 8.
Students are welcome to dress casually. Please note that this is not a drop-off event; parents are asked to remain on campus throughout the orientation.
We’re excited to see everyone and begin another wonderful year at Unquowa!
