PreK-3 y la Caja Misteriosa
Posted by Jamie BartelsThe curiosity of a three-year-old is a powerful tool. Sometimes all it takes is a mysterious box with unknown contents — hear the objects inside shake? — and the class is immediately pulled together. Led by the faculty of their will they come and sit, form a circle and wait, completely silent, for the objects of their curiosity to appear.
The perfect moment to take el gallo out of the box and ask,
¿Que es esto?
Es un gallo.
Four voices repeat, almost in a whisper,
“gallo”
Learning a language is an unending series of tiny conquests over the new and unknown and there are few who can make these conquests so humbly and gracefully as a three-year old.
