Searching for Spring
Posted by Maureen DialloOn a rainy Wednesday afternoon the first graders traveled to the Fairfield Audubon Center to search of signs of spring. With digging spoons in hand, the class hiked the Audubon trails in search of clues that spring has arrived! The rainy day lent itself to record breaking discoveries for the first grade class! They found numerous salamanders, worms, and peeper frogs! We noticed budding trees, skunk cabbage in bloom and birds building their spring nests. Spring is finally here!
