Makerspace Summer Workshop – Leonardo’s Toy Chest
These workshops will be hosted by The Unquowa School, in our makerspace.
This summer, June 18-22, 2018, the Unquowa School will be home to the Whitney workshop at EWM. Leonardo‘s toy chest will be here in the Gator Garage makerspace at the Unquowa school. Students from grades 4-8 will build paddle boats, marble trees, rubber band cars, camera obscuras, catapults, pinball machines, robot drums, revolving stages, siphons and squirters, chalk compasses, machine designs, helicopter droppers… Each project is accompanied by an historical and design lesson.
Registration for this program is not currently open. Please check back again soon.
Have you ever spent an early morning walking between rows of growing vegetables and smelling the fragrance of fresh greens mingling with the soil they are grown in? Have you ever made your own paint from the stamens of flowers or cooked and eaten food that you have just harvested? Well, if you join us at Unquowa’s Summer Farm Camp, these will be just a few of the ways in which you will learn to understand the relationship between the foods we eat and where they come from.
One week sessions, June 18 – July 13. Open to students entering PreK-4 thru Grade 7. Click here for more information and to sign up!
