The band Alternate Routes came to Unquowa to do a workshop with our sixth-eighth grade performing arts students on song-writing! It was a fantastic workshop where the students got a glimpse into the creative process to writing music. After this workshop we sang the band’s song “Nothing More,” a song written for Newtown Kindness, with the band. This song is about simply being kind and how treating others with kindness will make huge changes in our world. After performing this song for the rest of the Unquowa Community, we were treated to a uplifting concert by the band. Students were all up and dancing for their final song! It was a great way to end the week here at Unquowa!
