SURPRISE! 95, 94, 93…

Rather than follow the Unquowa tradition of celebrating “100 Days Until Commencement”, this year we honored Unquowa’s 95th anniversary and began the countdown at 95.

The eighth graders were lured away from their regular lunch in the dining room by Mrs. Lamb and Ms. Lauer who sternly told them that they “needed to speak with them”. Feeling slightly apprehensive, the Class of 2013 walked into one of their homerooms to find their smiling advisers, pizza, cake and balloons. This private feast marked the countdown of 95 days until they graduate in June. They were thrilled!

Ms. Lauer encouraged them to stay in touch in high school, college and beyond. She asked them to visit often and to attend Winter Festival, Founders’ Day and other events. Congratulations to the Class of 2013 … soon to be Unquowa’s youngest alumni.
