Video Chat with Jordan
Posted by Debbie LeidleinThe seventh graders participated in their second video chat this year. This time, they spoke with students from the Aliyyah School for Girls in Amman, Jordan. While students learned that they shopped in the same stores, enjoyed the same sports and and liked the same food, they also learned about the importance of family, education and religion in each other’s cultures. Students from Unquowa asked if any students from Jordan saw President Obama when he visited Amman on March 23rd and asked what they thought of President Obama. The students from Jordan then asked what Unquowa students thought about King Abdullah II. Both spoke highly of the other country’s leader. All in all, it was a great learning experience for the students!
