On Monday afternoon, the first grade squires were knighted in a royal ceremony by the King and Queens of Winter Festival. Each of the brave knights worked very hard in the days leading up to the knighting ceremony to show that they were ready for knighthood. Special badges were earned by all of the knights for friendship, bravery, responsibility, honesty, and kindness. Each 1st grader had their knight name engraved on the back of their heirloom shield, which will be passed down to the next generation of brave knights!
