The Power of Words on a Page

Working across the curriculum, Grade 5 students are taking a deep dive into a novel that explores the impact of the Indian Relocation Program which took place in the 1950’s. Indian No More by Traci Sorell, sheds light on some difficult truths of our past and highlights the strength and resilience of the Native Americans who endured the hardships. The 5th Graders are a compassionate community and deeply moved by Sorell’s words.
