In Search of Spring
Posted by Faith BarbutoMaybe it was the extremely harsh winter, or the fact that we had not been outside for what seemed like an eternity but all of us in kindergarten were eager to get outside and search for signs of spring. In the classroom, we predicted the things we might find to show us that spring has sprung. Armed with our clipboards and our ever improving powers of observation, we took to the streets to see which signs we could actually discover. Upon careful examination, we found small buds on trees, chirping birds and even some flowers. Our most exciting discovery was that the tulip bulbs we planted in the fall have begun to sprout. We cannot wait for their flowers to burst open, heralding the real start of spring!
