Boys’ Lacrosse began the 2014 campaign with an excellent, hard fought victory against Fairfield Country Day. On a brisk, but sunny day and after several intense practices setting strategy, the boys were ready to hit the field and that they did. The boys built a quick lead in the first half with 4 goals and kept FCDS off the board till the end of the first half, going into halftime with a 4-1 lead.

In the second half, FCDS climbed back into the game and closed the gap in the final minutes with Unquowa clinging to a 6-5 lead. A break in the defense led to a quick goal with only 45 seconds left and the boys were able to hold on for a solid 7-5 victory and started the season with a win! Special mention for eighth grader Alex, who was playing in his first game and tallied a record 5 goals. Great job overall to the whole team – go Gators!
