The Gator Cross Country team ran another successful meet at Sherwood island State Park in Westport yesterday. The sky was clear blue and the wind was whipping harder than ever, but our Gators stepped up to the starting line with undaunted spirits. The course consisted of concrete pathways and flat sandy beaches. The seventh and eighth grade division completed a 2.5 mile course while the fifth and sixth grade ran close to 1.5 miles. Among our strong finishers, seventh grader Collin coming in third; fifth graders Patrick, Drew, Ryan and Danny came in among the top 25 runners in their division. Other exciting finishers were Quinn, Carson, Jared, Grace, Anne Marie, Hank and Annie. Next meet is Thursday, May 1st at Merwin Meadows in Wilton…..another scenic terrain with a beachey finish line.
