Connections in the Fall Garden
Posted by Mary CurranSeptember has been a busy month in the Unquowa garden. Students have been harvesting cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, kale, heirloom lettuces, purple/yellow wax/green beans, eggplants and French D’Avignon radishes for the dining room. Purple haze and orange Nelson carrots will be ready to pick in the upcoming weeks. In addition, classes have been going on garden scavenger hunts, collecting black swallowtail caterpillars to observe in the classroom, and investigating marigold seeds. A big thank you to students for helping to harvest and care for our garden!
