Just a Typical Morning at Unquowa…
Posted by Lloyd MitchellEvery morning starts the same for students who arrive before school starts. Lower School students enter the dining room to catch up with friends, settle in before a busy day and occasionally help out Chef David in preparing something that will be served for lunch that day. Every morning, when I walk in to get my coffee, I am amazed at the enthusiasm of the youngest Unquowans who might be grating carrots, helping to prepare bread, or shucking local corn which might reveal an interesting local friend or two. When I ask them what they are doing, they enthusiastically reply, “Helping with lunch!” Just another clear example of the power purpose has in a child’s daily life…
