Mondrian Art Project
Posted by Alice DesGrangesThird grade studied the geometrical paintings of the Dutch abstract painter, Piet Mondrian. The students carefully designed their paintings with a limited palate of primary colors. The students learned the importance of a carefully planned composition. Despite the simplicity of the painting, third grade discovered that there are many challenges involved in creating abstract art.
