Third grade and kindergarten have teamed up again this year for “Reading Buddies”! Most Monday afternoons the students meet in the library to select, read and discuss a book of choice. At times it is a loved picture book and at other times, partners decide to stay with a chapter book. Our third graders are proud to show their fluency skills as the kindergartners in turn are excited to retell a story through words and pictures. These new partnerships are quickly developing into friendships, as students are happy to spot each other at other times during the school day.
