5, 6, 7, 8!
Posted by Megan KirkToday in first grade performing arts students choreographed their own dance! We have been learning how when someone choreographs a dance they work in counts of eight. This is so the movements can be counted and broken down into sections for the dancers to learn. We also learned how these counts of eight were also using the beat and tempo of the chosen music to decide what types and tempos our movements should be. Each student then came up with their own two counts of eight to add together for a great movement piece!
