In what has become one of my favorite Unquowa traditions, after filling our bellies with delicious food and being grateful for being together at the Thanksgiving Banquet, the kindergarten and fourth grade students delivered the food collected in the food drive to the Mercy Learning Center. First our eager helpers carried all the food into Mr. Doug’s truck which he generously drove for the task. Next we deposited all the food to the pantry at Mercy Learning Center to be distributed to the women who attend classes there. On our tour of the lovely center, we learned more about how they help to educate women and help them provide better lives for their families. Such a meaningful experience of gratitude for our students! Thank you to all that donated and assisted!
