Music Can Tell a Story
Posted by Megan KirkStudents in fourth grade have been using the classroom instruments to tell the story of The Mouse and the Lion. Without using any words, students were told they had to compose a score for a short scene about the lion and the mouse. The creativity began to flow right away as students picked out which instruments would represent which characters and what was going on in the story! This is a great tool to start to get students to think about different instrumentation that is used in compositions.
