Information Transfer in Fourth Grade Science
Posted by Carlene GordonThis week in fourth grade science, students are studying ‘Information Transfer.’ We have learned that patterns are used to communicate information electronically and that text and images are transferred through a pattern of 1’s and 0’s. Patterns of 1’s and 0’s are sent and received by microchips in our devices. Music is also transferred through 1’s and 0’s, in both CDs and music players. To apply this knowledge, students were asked to choose a simple picture and pixelate it. Above, and below, are two of the results.
