Enchanting Wee Faerie Village
Posted by Alice DesGrangesOur annual 2nd and 3rd graders school trip to the enchanting Wee Faerie Village at the Florence Griswold Museum was nothing short of magical! Each year, this special destination comes alive with whimsical fairy houses, hidden surprises, and, of course, the possibility of a fairy sighting or two! The children delighted in exploring the imaginative little homes, admiring this year’s sparkling gem-inspired theme and all the intricate details that made each fairy dwelling so unique.
After exploring the fairy village, our young artists enjoyed painting en plein air, taking inspiration from the beautiful natural surroundings. The fairies must have worked their magic once again, because the weather was absolutely perfect for our special day! It was an extraordinary day filled with creativity, discovery, and a treasured school tradition we look forward to each year!
