A Culinary Tour of Africa
Posted by Ariel WarshawIn our 7th grade Humanities course, we have been learning all about Africa and the many cultures within it. We have studied the geography of the continent, and have done a deep dive into Nigeria, Niger, Ghana, and South Africa. Today we got to explore African cultures by preparing some classic dishes from throughout the region. We listened to Angelique Kidjo (Benin) and Ladysmith Black Mombasa (South Africa) as we chopped, fried, tossed, and stirred. It was a delicious and authentic experience!
Menu:

Salad: Kenyan Kachumbari
Main: East African Piri Piri Chicken
