Bluebird, bluebird
Posted by Megan KirkOn the very first day of music class with PreK-3 and PreK-4, I introduced the students to a special bird who has its very own song. My bird, Betty, loves to fly around through student “windows” while listening to her favorite song. When the song says “now my wings are tired,” the student must give Betty to a friend, and the song repeats. It is a calming song with small intervals and steps. Students are beginning to develop their musical ear!
“Bluebird bluebird
Through my window,
Bluebird bluebird
Through my window,
Bluebird bluebird
Through my window,
Now my wings are tired”
