Exploring the Connecticut Science Center
Posted by Carlene GordonThird and fourth graders loaded the buses early for a day in Hartford at the Connecticut Science Center. Upon our arrival, students explored the 165 interactive exhibits currently on display. Our budding scientists were in awe of the deep sea to outer space exploration, delved into engineering principles, danced and sang at a very fun Sight and Sound exhibit, and tested physical and mental strength in the Sports Lab.
In a dedicated laboratory experience, students were welcomed to the world of extreme engineering led by one of the knowledgeable educators at the Science Center. In this 45 minute lab, students raced against gravity, built a unique structure with Imagination Playground blocks, and explored the physics of motion through a variety of interactive activities that investigate motion-related phenomena.
A great big thank you goes out to our many parent chaperones who made this day so fun and educational for our young scientists!
