with creativity, exploration and connection at
Unquowa School.
Our Summer Discovery Days are designed to give children and families an opportunity to experience the joyful spirit of the Unquowa community in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Families are invited to enjoy playground time, nature and brook exploration, hands-on creative activities, STEM and discovery stations, lawn games, summer treats, and optional campus tours.

Led by Unquowa students, faculty, and staff, these gatherings are intentionally casual, community-centered, and designed to help children make new friends while families connect with one another throughout the summer months.

Whether you are already part of our community or discovering Unquowa for the first time, we would love to welcome you to campus this summer!

Arrival begins at 9:20 a.m. Please enter through the gym door, where staff will help students find their way to their classrooms and practice the morning drop-off routine before the first day of school. PreK and Kindergarten families are welcome to walk their children to class, while all other parents can make their way to the Dining Room.

At 9:30 a.m., students will spend time with their teachers, reconnect with classmates and become familiar with their classrooms and school-day routines. At the same time, parents will gather in the Dining Room for a brief welcome program.

Afterward, families are invited to make a craft together in the corral or enjoy some time on the playground! At this time, our faculty will return to preparing for the first day of school on Tuesday, September 8.

Students are welcome to dress casually. Please note that this is not a drop-off event; parents are asked to remain on campus throughout the orientation.

Welcome back to the new school year! The first day of school is Tuesday, September 8th. Immediately after morning drop off, please join us in the gym for our Parents Welcome Coffee and Treats. Learn more about parent involvement, UPA committee opportunities and shop the community closet for gently used uniform items (all items are free). Stop by and meet familiar faces and to help welcome our new parents. See you there!

All school assembly will start promptly at 8:40am. Grades 5-8 please wear the blazer dress code.
