Geocaching Our Way through Fairfield!
Posted by Lloyd MitchellDuring the Annual UPA Spring Gala, teacher experiences are offered up for families to bid on. This year, seventh Grader Eva was lucky enough to win the teacher experience of geocaching. Geocaching, a global treasure hunt using an online app to find items hidden all over the world by the users of the app, is a world-wide phenomenon. On a warm September afternoon, we ventured through the hills of Fairfield to search for various caches of varying levels. Some were more simple to find while others were more complex. We were even lucky enough to locate a trackable geocoin that had made it’s way around the world from Australia! All in all, it was a fun afternoon of getting outdoors while mixing a little tech in too!
