IDEA Watch Party!
Posted by Krissy Ponden
The IDEA Committee hosted its first event for the school year, a Watch Party and discussion of Tiffany Jewell speaking about her books, The Antiracist Kid and This Book Is Antiracist. We were thrilled that we had such an amazing group gather to share experiences, offer suggestions, and come together in community. We are looking forward to November, when the focus will be on Indigenous Americans, with a community read of Chris Newell’s (Passamaquoddy) If You Lived During the Plimoth Thanksgiving, and a visit from Cheenulka Pocknett (Mashpee Wampanoag) who will be telling stories, singing songs, dancing, and cooking with our students. Keep an eye on the calendar for more info!
