Radio Drama
Posted by Megan KirkUpper School students had an amazing live reading of the radio dramas they wrote in Performing Arts class. Students began this unit by learning about the history of the radio dramas. We listened to a few clips from many different radio dramas including the famous War of the Worlds. When it was time to write their own scripts the students were so excited! Students created mysteries, comedies, science fiction, and more! Instead of recording these radio dramas – we did a live table reading. It was awesome! I was so impressed with the creativity in both the character choices and the use of sound effects. Students also developed greatly as actors during this unit. I am so proud of all of their work!
