Riding the Rapids!
Posted by Lloyd MitchellOur seventh and eighth graders kicked off the school year with the third annual whitewater rafting trip! After a smooth ride up, students were split up into seven different boats. We then ventured another 12 miles from the rafting site to start out on what would be a spectacular ride! This trip is all about teamwork and working together and many great friendships are forged in the time together on the boat. We ran the rapids like pros, hitting class 1,2 and 3 rapids. There were many times where you could elect to go for a swim in the river and others where the rapids sent you swimming! As one student commented, “There’s nothing more peaceful than an open river with trees for miles…” Yet again, this trip proved to be an excellent bonding experience for another great year!
