“Stand By Me”
Posted by Megan KirkThe fifth graders had their first performance of the year singing Stand By Me at our Wednesday morning assembly. Students have been working on how to sing as a chorus in music class. They are learning how to sing with proper vocal techniques as well as how to blend their sound in a group setting. During this song, students were split into two parts, each with their own line of music. When we began reading this piece the students were surprised by how hard it was to sing their own part while another part is going on at the same time! After only a few practices however, the piece was ready to be performed! Great job fifth grade!
