We Made 红包 (hóng bāo) for Chinese New Year!
Posted by Yajuan ZhangAs a tradition in Chinese culture, children receive 红包 (hóng bāo) with the pocket money from their parents and relatives at the first day of Chinese New Year. In Mandarin class students were quite amazed with the authentic 红包 (hóng bāo) I presented. Happily enough, I was even more amazed with 红包 (hóng bāo) students made in class. This year the first day of 猪年 (zhū nián, the year of the pig) is just around the corner, February 5th! When you look at the pictures of these 红包 (hóng bāo), no wonder you feel a good fortune of 猪年(zhū nián) is just coming our way. So here we are –猪年大吉大利 (zhū nián dà jí dà lì)! Good luck everybody!
