What’s being said about, “The Book Club for Every One”?
Posted by Trésor KayumbaEver curious about the conversations teachers are having? Ever wonder what kind of ideas are swirling in the minds of teachers in a course of a day? Mr. Appleton and I have often spent a great deal of our time sharing our thoughts on how we can improve our students’ experiences. Both he and I are always talking about new ways to offer students a more dynamic and meaningful experience because we both know that sometimes the structure of education and learning can be a bit rigid. We often wonder: Why does the Math teacher only encounter and engage with students when it’s related to math? Why can’t he be found talking about literature or art? These questions lead us to saying, well let’s set up a space where we get together and commune with the students on an equitable level. At a level where we are not the authority but rather community members seeking wisdom.
Here are some of the reviews from participants and parents:
“Piper loves this group, material & conversation. Thank you for making this happen!”
“Tre, Noah and the Fabulous Members of the Book Club – Each week a bit of magic happens when you gather, share and explore together. Thank you for including the parents in your experience.”
“Lovely book club! What a delight to exchange thoughts and laughs each Wednesday with you all! Thank you so much!!!!!
