A Very “Dramatic” Seventh Grade!
Posted by Alyson CahillSeventh grade drama students kicked off the school year with loads of energy! The new set-up in the drama classroom allows for small group work to be presented on a formal elevated “stage” via a raised platform, complete with extra lighting and theatrical curtains to provide a neutral backdrop. Audience members provide reflective feedback during class exercises, and the students can get a sense of performing for their peers in an intimate, supportive setting. In these pictures, the students are demonstrating their knowledge of the word ensemble through the use of tableaux work. As you can see, they are a very expressive and enthusiastic group! We can’t wait to continue using this new space, and all of the students in performing arts are very excited to have this new feature in the drama room!
