Compliments to the Chefs!
Posted by Faith BarbutoAs part of our Farm unit, PK has learned where food comes from and how plants grow. We learned about food groups and also sorted foods into groups of healthy and not so healthy choices. We have noticed that lots of our stories talk about food because it so important to our lives. We have learned what living things need through experiments with seeds and that our bodies need nutritious food to grow healthy and strong. This year we have really put that knowledge into action by eating! Our class is full of adventurous palates and this is inspiring others to try new things. No snack boxes and sun-nut butter sandwiches here. Everyone tries the entree, and usually loves it. How could you not love the amazing farm to fork meals lovingly prepared by our chefs? Lots of members of the clean plate club and we are even learning how to bus our tables. Thank you Unquowa Chefs from our youngest foodies!
