Eighth Grade Trip to Woodloch – Day Two
Posted by Debbie LeidleinDay two at Woodloch started out wet. After breakfast we rode the go-carts in the rain! Sophia and Lauren were our speedy drivers and Alex learned not to look backward while driving forward. After a few spins around the track, some opted to go to paintball while others opted for archery. Matt, Sophia and Hannah demonstrated their mad paintball skills! Over at archery, Daniel, Alex and Mr. Sef hit the bullseye! After lunch, we returned to the houses for quick showers and a lip sync battle. Students worked in teams to plan and record themselves lip syncing to a song of their choice. Points were awarded for creativity, costumes, accuracy, inclusion of all students and punctuality. We then had a viewing party where we were able to celebrate each team’s final production. The memory of watching Daniel and Max record a video to “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” with Brandon as their camera man, will not soon be forgotten! Alex, Aiden and Matt did a very artsy piece while Kate, Kylee, Raphael and Margot showed us all they learned in humanities by using symbolism throughout their video. Sneha did a great impression of Mrs. Leidlein waking up Sophia, Maddie and Brooke who then told us “today, I’m not doing anything.” Our dress up dinner was in celebration or Woodloch’s 60th year and Maddie’s 14th. Dinner ended with an ice cream birthday cake and some very happy students. Another game of beach volleyball (Unquowa style), a comedic show and a dance party rounded the evening out. Then it was back to the houses for some more late night movies, games and hanging out and talking. Day three will start with the power being back on!!! Three cheers for hot showers!!
