Fairies en plein air!
Posted by Krissy PondenThe second and seventh graders journeyed to the land of the fairies at The Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme. Each year the grounds of the museum welcome wee visitors to stay at tiny houses and gardens created by local artists. Following a tour of Alphabet Junction, this year’s theme, the students had the opportunity to paint “en plein air” with a gorgeous view of the river that runs by the property. Seventh graders then returned to Unquowa and completed their paintings in visual arts. The students were so inspired by the museum’s fairy gardens that they requested to create their own versions here at school. Stay tuned to see if we can summon these tiny sprites too…!!
