Kickin’ for a Cause
Posted by Trésor KayumbaAs the Service Learning coordinator this year, I have been entrusted with organizing service learning opportunities and developing the program. The basic principle of service will be to work collaboratively with folks with who we serve. We want to find more opportunities to diversify the range of people we work with and learn from in order to enrich ourselves and our lived experiences.
The Unquowa School Service Learning Program, will host a benefit football/soccer match on November 8th. This event is called “Kickin’ for a Cause”.
The game will be played by 5/6th and 7/8th grade Unquowa students along with CIRI children within their respective grades. The game will take place at The Unquowa School on Friday from 3:15-4:30. The participants and supporters of this event are kindly asked to contribute a ten dollar fee to play in support of the CIRI organization. See you on the field!
