Math is Delicious!
Posted by Ann PalmDuring our friendship unit PreK-4 students made Friendship Bread. Why is it called Friendship Bread? The entire class made it together and shared with our PreK-3 friends and others. Making the bread also was a math lesson. Each biscuit was cut in half, then quarters and dipped in sugar and cinnamon. The children practiced with shapes before cutting the biscuits for better understanding. Thank you Chef David for letting us use your oven. After the bread was cooked we noticed it grew! Did you know you don’t even need a knife to cut Friendship bread? Just pull off a piece and share mmmmm….delicious!
